Man Hits Railroad Trestle with Car and Dies
In Asheville, North Carolina, police report that a man is dead after a single vehicle accident that took place during the morning hours on Wednesday.
According to police reports, 71-year-old Tommy Crowder was killed during a car accident at 7:15 AM. The collision took place on the 300 block of Riverside Drive.
Officers say that Crowder's pickup truck hit a railroad trestle. Crowder later died from a major head trauma and chest injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and police say that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Police do not believe he was speeding when the accident occurred, but they are still conducting investigations to determine the cause.
