Tragic Bike Accident Reported
Tragedy struck in South Carolina last week when a young woman took the life of a bicyclist during a serious car accident.
According to law enforcement officials, the 20-year-old woman was driving on a local road when she accidentally struck the 30-year-old victim. Although an emergency medical team rushed to the site, the man lost his life at the scene of the car accident. The woman was found to have been intoxicated when she caused the accident, prompting officers to arrest her for felony DUI, as well as open container and drug charges.
She is now being held at a local jail on a $251,090 bond. It is uncertain whether she has yet obtained legal counsel.
