Spinal Cord Injury Victim Working to Walk Again

One woman has been working to walk again even though the odds seem stacked against her. The young woman was injured just weeks before her wedding was set to take place last year in North Carolina.

According to the police report, the woman was at her own bachelorette party when a friend pushed her into a pool. She fell into the shallow end and hit the cement bottom at an awkward angle. She was left paralyzed from the waist down after suffering serious injuries to her vertebra. She has been working since then with specialists at a spinal cord injury recovery center to walk on her own.

While the process has been slow and often painful, the woman is determined to walk in her wedding. The ceremony was postponed for another year while her fiancé helps her recover from the horrible freak accident.
