Alcohol is believed to be a primary factor in the fatal crash that happened on Highway 61 last week.

According to North Carolina Highway Patrol spokesman Greg Ingram, a school bus had stopped on Shoe Road to pick up a student when a car slammed into the back of the bus. The impact killed both the car's driver and passenger. The driver was later identified as Skylair Christian Lee Myers, 20; the passenger was Samuel Colby Ray, 21.

Although further details about the crash have not been released, patrolmen suspect that this was a drunk driving accident that had fatal results.
