Employee Succumbs to Construction Accident Injuries

When Results Matter Most, Hire a Heavyweight
Even if you practice the highest levels of safety on the job, a construction accident can still happen to anyone at any time.

Tragedy struck on the site of a building in Vermont last week when one man became pinned under a piece of machinery. The man had been working with several others near a railroad bed when a Barbco auger fell on from the top of the building, pinning him down. Emergency crews and state police were dispatched to the scene where the auger had been removed by a fellow coworker operating a backhoe. However, police say the man was still lying on the ground, seriously injured as a result of the accident.

The victim was taken to a medical center shortly after the incident, but he succumbed to his injuries just hours after being admitted. The autopsy conducted later that week confirmed that the death was indeed accidental. Yet, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration plans to send a representative to investigate the scene of the construction accident to determine if the work site is safe or hazardous to other employees.

Construction accidents can lead to serious injuries and in some tragic cases, wrongful death. If you've been hurt in a construction accident, don't wait to contact the Lanier Law Group, P.A. as you may be able to file a lawsuit to collect monetary damages for physical debilitations as well as your pain and suffering.
