An elderly state representative was brought to a local hospital last week when he was injured in a car accident. The 70-year-old representative was driving with a colleague when their vehicle collided with another head-on. The driver of the second vehicle was killed instantly while the older man was brought to the hospital to receive emergency surgery.

When the passenger was asked about the 70-year-old man after the surgery, he commented that the man was in critical but stable condition. Family and friends gathered at the hospital to keep vigil over the car accident victim.
