A family was shocked to learn about the death of their 18-year-old son in South Carolina this month.

The 18-year-old North Carolina native was working on a construction site in South Carolina when he was involved in a backhoe injury. He was part of a construction crew erecting the building that would hold a cycling championship in 2012.

At this time, details regarding the construction accident are limited. Police are still conducting an investigation into his death. As with any construction site accident, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will send a representative to evaluate the worksite. If it is deemed unsafe for further work, OSHA has the authority to shut it down until further notice.

If you were involved in a construction accident and suffered injuries, now is the time to contact the Lanier Law Group, P.A. to have your case reviewed by an experience North Carolina personal injury lawyer who can help you take appropriate legal action.
