A Jacksonville, FL man claims he was the victim of medical malpractice at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. government.

Early last November, Alex Medina complained of a severe headache while at the Naval Hospital Emergency room. The Hospital staff improperly diagnosed Medina and he suffered a brain aneurysm soon after being sent home. Due to the lack of early treatment, Medina now suffers from memory loss and has lost full use of the left side of his body.

Regarding her husband's new condition, Tess Medina added, "We had a dream of our life, now I don't know if we can go with that kind of dream, I don't know when."

Medina's attorney, Sean Cronin, said at a news conference this week that that this is the third mistreated brain aneurysm case involving the Navel Hospital that he's handled in the last 5 years.
