Advocating for Survivors of Child Sex Abuse by the Boy Scouts of America and Affiliates

November 16 is the deadline to file a child sex abuse claim against the Boy Scouts of America.

At Lanier Law Group, P.A., we understand how difficult and intimidating it can be for a survivor of child sexual abuse to speak out about the terrible trauma they were subjected to. That’s why with the national November 16 deadline to file child sex abuse claims against the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) on the horizon, we are providing compassionate, award-winning legal advocacy for these survivors as we do to each and every one of our clients pursuing such claims.

Since 1997, our firm has provided caring legal counsel to victims of child sex abuse, facing their abusers with ferocity and great legal acumen in court. With a team of nationally recognized lawyers, we are equipped to take on the Boy Scouts of America and its affiliates to assist you in holding them responsible for their actions. About the Upcoming November 16 Deadline

The Boy Scouts of America has filed a bankruptcy claim, during which a Victims Compensation Trust was created to compensate the victims of sexual abuse within the organization and any of its affiliates. With thousands of cases already filed against the Boy Scouts of America, compensation will be withdrawn from the corporation’s assets, roughly calculated at about $1 billion. To be considered for compensation for your abuse, you will need to file a claim no later than November 16, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Unfortunately, this is the last chance for sex abuse victims of Boy Scouts of America and its affiliates to hold the organization accountable for their horrific actions. If you were subjected to child sex abuse within the Boy Scouts of America and affiliates — including Explorers, Venturing, and Sea Scouts — it is important to consult with an attorney as soon as possible to begin your legal claim.

Work with a Lanier Law Group, P.A. Lawyer

At Lanier Law Group, P.A., we believe that no survivor of child sexual abuse should have to face their trauma alone. We take survivors’ cases seriously and are committed to standing by their side through every step of the legal process. Moreover, we are proud to advocate for survivors because we understand how terrifying it can be to face your abuser on your own, especially when that abuser is a member of a large corporation.

While our skilled attorneys know that no amount of financial compensation can make up for the trauma caused to you, holding abusers accountable can not only prevent the same abuses from happening to other people but also help you find much-needed and deserved closure. Put our experienced, trusted attorneys in your corner.
