Meet Lisa Lanier

Bio
Lisa Lanier was born in High Point, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lisa worked as an associate for a large law firm in the Triangle for several years practicing insurance defense. In 1995, she began her own practice concentrating on helping people with all types of injury claims. Lanier Law Group, P.A. has grown to be a practice with locations throughout North Carolina.
Personal Hobbies
Lisa is widowed and has two grown children who she loves spending time with. She has been a distance runner for many years and has completed seven marathons and two triathlons. In recent years, Lisa now runs 5k and 10k races and enjoys ruck packing. She also enjoys traveling, cycling, snow skiing, golf, and water sports. Lisa is a cancer survivor, having beat stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma more than ten years ago and is a major fundraiser for blood cancer research.
Community Involvement
Lisa currently serves on the Regional Advisory Board for Truist Bank (formerly BB&T), and the Board of Trustees at Art For Hospice and Paint It Green. In the past, Lisa has served on various boards and committees at Duke School, Carolina Friends School, and The Hill Center. She has also served in the past on the Board of Directors for Equality NC and the Interactive Resource Center and as an officer with the NC Association of Women Attorneys.
Lisa has been recognized by Triangle Business Leader as an Impact Leader, Triangle Business Leader 40 Under 40 Award, by Martindale-Hubbell® as a Distinguished Attorney with a Very High Rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards, Selected to Super Lawyers 2020- Present, The National Trial Lawyer Top 100 Lawyers in America, The Yes Weekly Best of the Triad, America’s Top 100 Attorneys, Most Influential Leaders, Lawyer Monthly Top 100 Personal Injury Attorney, and North Carolina Advocates for Justice Kelly Crabtree Award.
Lisa has a passion for helping people experiencing homelessness, as well as veterans. She and her Lanier Law Group family engage in regular outreach to homeless centers all over the state to help people identify benefits and services they may be entitled to. She also donates and serves meals to large gatherings of people at shelters throughout the state.

Lisa appears regularly on local radio and television, commenting on legal stories in the news. She has weekly radio segments on Two Guys Named Chris and Jared & Katie In The Morning where she holds the title of “Official Attorney” and comments on funny or trending legal stories in a segment called “Lawyer Up.” These shows are nationally syndicated and also turned into podcasts. Lisa is also a recurring guest lecturer at Wake Forest University, where she lectures on Journalism Law.
