According to investigators with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 10:40 p.m. about 16.5 miles south of Edgefield.
Craven had been driving a 2002 Lexus going east on Gregory Lake Road when it ran off the road, struck a pine tree, and overturned. Both men were ejected from the vehicle. At this time, investigators are still looking into possible causes of the car accident.
