The two pilots were on a training mission when they realized that something was wrong with the aircraft. Knowing that they would not be able to land the Hornet in time, they were forced to evacuate and abandon the plane. Upon landing near a home, one pilot was heard apologizing for the crash in his dazed state. At this time, all of the victims have been released from the hospital except for the pilot.
