North Carolina Worker Killed in Construction Accident

When Results Matter Most, Hire a Heavyweight
Another worker lost his life last week while working on a roadway in North Carolina.

Officers with the local police department were called to the scene of the construction accident where the victim, a 45-year-old man, was fatally injured. He was working with a team to install a manhole when someone struck him in the shoulders with a backhoe. The bucket that the backhoe was holding then snapped free from its restraints and struck him in the head.

The man died at the scene of the construction accident, despite almost immediate medical attention. Both construction officials and police officers are calling this a freak accident.

As with any construction accident, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has sent a representative to investigate. The OHSA representative will determine whether it is safe to continue working at this job site or whether operations must be suspended temporarily or even permanently.
