Driver Negligence to Blame for Truck Accident

When Results Matter Most, Hire a Heavyweight

Road rage is never healthy, especially when it causes a serious truck accident like the one reported on a highway last week.

According to the police department investigating the crash, a red pickup truck sped up to pass a smaller vehicle and then hit its brakes as soon as it was in front of the car. To avoid hitting the truck, the car swerved off the road, flew in the air and crashed into a concrete bridge abutment. While the driver suffered minor injuries, his passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the pickup truck took off and might have escaped police detection if he had not run through a toll further up the road. As a result, officers now had the tag number for his vehicle, which is registered in North Carolina. With this information, the department may be able to locate the suspect within a few days.

If you were injured during a North Carolina truck accident, you'll want to have your case reviewed by a North Carolina personal injury lawyer as soon as possible. To get legal advice and information, contact the Lanier Law Group, P.A. now.
