A young man lost his life last week in a car accident on a military base.

While there are few details available to the public regarding the crash, it is known that the 23-year-old victim was accompanied by three other soldiers at the time. All three of the remaining victims were injured but are expected to enjoy a complete recovery.

The young man joined the Army in 2009 and recently sent to Iraq. He received several awards and commendations during his service including the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
