When Results Matter Most, Hire a Heavyweight

Officials report that an explosion was related to a construction accident at the Denison University of Granville campus this week.

According to firefighters from the Granville Township Fire Department, an explosion was reported at the Ebaugh Laboratories at 400 W. Loop around 10 a.m. One person, a plumber, was injured as a result of the construction accident. He was completing a pressure test when a metal filing hit him in the face. He was later taken by helicopter to Ohio State University Medical Center.

The building was undergoing renovation so no faculty, students or staff were present during the explosion, according to university spokeswoman Barbara Stambaugh.
